I am a Registered Home Family Daycare provider, Registered Early Childhood Educator BC and Registered Infant & Toddler Educator BC. I graduated from Langara College ECE program and was awarded twice with ‘Dean honor Roll’. I have 20 years of experience of being a school teacher working with children in different age groups. After working at Montessori and Play-base school for a couple of years, I build my program that combines play and learning. It adopts elements of the Montessori program and Play-base concept of the ECE to create a flexible, loving and stimulating atmosphere where it fosters each child’s self-motivated growth and helps them to find their own interests and promote individual development.

We believe children learn through play. Tactile interactions with their environment are a key component to children understanding the world at large. It is pivotal children are immersed in a learning environment that will encourage individual development in physical, social, emotional and cognitive areas.

As a licensed Agency we are inspected at least once a year by the Ministry of Education to ensure that our agency meets the requirements set out in the Child Care Early Years Act (CCEYA). We employ home visitors to supervise the home care providers to ensure that the policies and procedures of the agency are followed and the requirements of CCEYA are met. Home visitors are Registered Early Childhood Educators with training in child development and family studies. They support the home child care provider with program/activity planning, home safety, behaviour management, program implementation and nutrition.

One of the mottos at Happy Kids World is that children develop at their own pace and that learning should be fun and exciting. Happy Kids World is very aware of how important early childhood education is. By the age of five, a child’s brain development rate is already 95% complete! Therefore, this period of a child’s life is critical and should be fostered with the proper intellectual, social, physical, and emotional skills through a variety of individual and group activities and play.

Our respectful educational environment keeps the children?s best interests in mind while allowing for hands-on learning. Children are naturally driven to gain a deeper understanding of their interests and are fully capable of constructing their own path of learning. To encourage this, we provide our children with the tools they need to explore and expand upon subjects that are meaningful to them and join them as enthusiastic collaborators and partners in their learning.

Happy Ridge Early Learning Centre is a play basis centre and combines with Reggio – inspired activities where children learn through play and work. We commit to provide active learning environment where children are valued for their wonders and curiosities, their unique perspectives, their abilities to play and their capacities for meaningful work. We want to ensure that all children are blessed with lives of unlimited abundance and happiness.

As a licensed child care facility, my goal is to provide the highest quality care and a safe and happy place for children to grow at their own pace.
